Recipes For Using Essential Oils

I hope these essential oil recipes have been helpful and I hope you enjoy them. I will have more recipes for essential oils in the the next few weeks as my time allows.

Massage Oil For Relaxation:

This is an excellent blend is for relaxation and stress relief. It will help to bring about a deep relaxation of the muscles, tissues, and joints, and re-establish a good energy balance. Blend the following essential oils into one ounce of your favorite carrier oil. 3 drops Lavender 3 drops Tangerine 3 drops Marjoram 1 drop Chamomile. Massage as needed. You may also use this as a bath oil.

Massage or Body Oil: Add 5-10 drops of your favorite essence to 1 ounce unscented oil. Sweet Almond or Grape seed oil works very well for massage

Essential Oils For Body AchesRoman: Chamomile, Sweet Marjoram, Lavender, Help to soothe aches and pains. Mix 8-10 drops of the essential oil into 2 tablespoons of the carrier oil you prefer and massage areas of discomfort.

Essential Oils Recipe For Headache: Roman Chamomile, Peppermint, Lavender, Put 1 drop of essential oil on each temple and at the back of the neck. Or try mixing 4 or 5 drops of Lavender and 1 drop of Peppermint into 1 Tablespoon of carrier oil and massage neck and shoulders.

Delightful Body Scrub: These essential oils are very invigorating and are great for a wake me up shower.Add- 1/4 Cup Cornmeal, 1/4 Cup Sea Salt, 1/3 Cup Olive Oil, or another base oil. To this add 2 drops Ginger, 4 drops Peppermint and 3 drops of Rosemary.Mix salt and cornmeal together. Warm the oil and combine with the essential oils then mix into the dry ingredients. Great for use in the shower or while standing in the tub. Working from the extremities inward, working towards the center of the body and the heart in a circular motion. Rinse with warm water. Pat dry. This makes your skin feel quite smooth.

Bath Recipe: Add 6-8 drops to a bath. Swish around to mix oils or better yet dissolve in 1/4 cup milk or 1 teaspoon vegetable oil first.

Bath Salts Recipe: Add 2-6 drops to 1/4 C. sea salt and mix well.You can also use Epsom Salt and or Baking Soda, or a mix up using a combination of all three.

A Body Salt Scrub Recipe: Start by adding 1-2 teaspoons of expeller pressed canola oil, olive oil, sweet almond oil or any other vegetable oil to the Bath Salts mixture. Use while bathing to help exfoliate and soften your skin. Do not use on the face.

To Use In A Diffuser: Add 5-10 drops of essential oil blend to the well of your aroma lamp, be sure to add enough water. A lamp ring is another alternative.

Water Spritzers: Start with 4 oz. of distilled water. To make a facial mist use 7-10 drops of essential oils per 4 oz. of distilled water. Use 30-40 drops per 4 oz. for a body spray. Some essential oils may not be suitable.

Room Spray: Using 4 oz of distilled water add 80-100 drops of essential oils per 4 oz. for a room spray. Some essential oils may not be suitable.
